Sloppy joes

Inspired by sloppy joes, I made a tomato based veg stew with garlic, abit of mince meat, tomato and egg plant. Boil and let it simmer till the sauce reduces and season with basil salt and pepper! Toast some buns and wa la! It was really really good! Could eat the stew without the buns to reduce carb intake :)

Whats cooking?

Made lunch at home for the sleepy head this Sunday morning. He was too tired from work ytd so I had to deliver lunch to him. So lucky isnt he!

Teriyaki chicken made from scratch Im super proud of it! It was really good even b said so. He doesnt really like stuff I cook because its always healthy and bland but I made it extra flavourful this time :) Made butter garlic rice and scramble eggs to go with it.

Said I was craving for rubs and fries from chili's so we went there for dinner!! They serve the best ribs ive had to far and the best fries and mash potato!! Not a fan of mash potato with gravy but this was so good! It's being served with mushroom sauce instead. Go try it!

B's 21st dinner

Went to Balzac because we heard the food was good there so we decided to give it a try! We had escargots for appetizers which was good but nothing great. Love their broccoli butter and herb butter, great with the bread they served which was good too!

For mains I had duck confit over mash which was super good! My first time trying duck confit and it won me over. Skin was crispy and the meat was so juicy and tender. Not a huge leg of duck but portion was just right for me. B had entrecort which is a steak with frits. My main was better than his. Fries werent crisps either.

Mentioned on my fs I would blog but I was honestly so lazy to transfer my pictures from my phone to my laptop so Im blogging via phone.
